As well as providing a space in which I can feel a part of life, it provides support for personal and scholastic programs.</B></P></p><br> <p><P ALIGN="LEFT"><B><I>I volunteered at the KRC. It was exciting and different from what I understood recovery to be. I don't go to AA much. I do NA, and a lot of faith based stuff. It was all accepted at KRC. Some places it isn't. </I></B></P></p><br> <p><P ALIGN="LEFT"><B><I>I was introduced to the KRC about 3 years ago. It was empowering to be given the opportunity to be trusted and in charge of something. It made me feel like part of a community. I had not felt that way in a long time. </I></B></P></p><br> <p><P ALIGN="LEFT"> </P></p><br> <p><P ALIGN="LEFT">After rehab I was told I had to change everything</P><P ALIGN="LEFT">This meant I could not hang out with any of the people who were my "friends". At the center I found new friends, real friends who liked me for who I was. I also had a place to play pool which was great.</P></p><br> <p><P ALIGN="LEFT">People at the center listened to me. I don't think anyone had listened to me before. It was cool. They also let me volunteer that was cool to.</P></p><br> <p><P ALIGN="LEFT">the center is where I learned many things about myself and how to recover from the powerful addiction to drugs.
